The Nocpix MINI2 H25 combines high-resolution thermal imaging, digital night vision and thermal/NV fusion into an extremely compact monocular designed primarily for both helmet use.

At its core is a 640×512 thermal sensor with a 12 μm pixel pitch, ≤15 mK thermal sensitivity and 60 Hz refresh rate, paired with a fast 25 mm F/1.0 objective lens and Nocpix Reality+ image processing. With true 1× native magnification and a wide 17.6° × 14.1° thermal field of view, the MINI2 H25 is built around situational awareness rather than tunnel vision.

What separates the MINI2 from a conventional helmet-mounted thermal monocular is its second imaging channel. An integrated 1/1.8-inch CMOS digital imaging sensor allows the user to switch between thermal imaging, digital night vision and a combined thermal/NV overlay. Nocpix describes this dual-sensor design as a way to combine rapid heat detection with additional environmental detail and target recognition.

The bigger story, though, is having thermal, digital night vision and fusion available from the same device. Thermal is excellent at finding a heat signature quickly; the digital channel provides a different view of the surrounding environment. Being able to move between those imaging modes makes the MINI 2 much more versatile than a conventional thermal-only helmet monocular.

Thermal sensitivity is rated at ≤15 mK.

NETD or thermal sensitivity describes the system’s ability to distinguish very small temperature differences. Lower values generally allow more subtle temperature variations to appear within the image, which becomes especially helpful when environmental conditions reduce thermal contrast.

That can include humid evenings, warmer temperatures or situations where the animal and surrounding ground are relatively close in temperature.

True 1× Magnification for Helmet-Mounted Use

The MINI2 H25 starts at 1× native magnification with up to 4× digital zoom.

That 1× starting point is particularly important for helmet use.

A higher base magnification may be useful when observing a distant animal from a stationary position, but it also reduces the amount of terrain visible through the optic. With a device mounted in front of your eye while moving, maintaining a broad and natural-looking viewing area becomes much more important.

The MINI2 provides a 17.6° × 14.1° thermal field of view, allowing the user to cover a substantial area without constantly sweeping the head back and forth.

For scanning fields, moving between stands, navigating trails or watching closer surroundings, that combination of 1× magnification and wide FOV is one of the strongest aspects of the MINI2 design.


25 mm F/1.0 Thermal Objective

The thermal channel uses a 25 mm F/1.0 objective lens.

The fast F/1.0 aperture is designed to efficiently transmit available thermal energy to the detector, while the 25 mm focal length works with the 640×512 sensor to maintain the MINI2’s wide viewing area.

The result is a configuration emphasizing detection and situational awareness without giving up the resolution of a 640-class sensor.


Smooth 60 Hz Refresh Rate

The MINI2 H25 operates at 60 Hz.

Refresh rate becomes especially noticeable in a helmet-mounted device because the image is moving every time your head moves.

A faster refresh rate helps motion appear smoother while walking, scanning or rapidly changing viewing direction and reduces the choppier visual effect that can occur with slower imaging systems.

This makes the 60 Hz sensor particularly well suited to the MINI2’s intended helmet-mounted role.


1280×1024 AMOLED Display

Both thermal and digital imagery are presented through a 0.6-inch 1280×1024 AMOLED display.

A high-resolution internal display is important because it determines how much of the detail produced by the imaging system can actually be presented to the user’s eye.

The MINI 2 also provides multiple thermal palettes, including:

Helmet-Mounted Optimized

The MINI 2 H25 is designed primarily as a helmet mounted device.

An integrated dovetail shoe allows the monocular to interface with compatible night-vision mounting systems, eliminating the need to treat it as a dedicated handheld-only scanner. Nocpix specifically designed the unit around a compact form factor suitable for hands-free operation.

At only: 4.00″ × 1.72″ × 2.54″ and approximately 8.47 oz the MINI2 keeps headborne weight relatively low while still providing a 640 thermal sensor, digital imaging system, AMOLED display and recording electronics. That combination is particularly important when the optic will be worn for extended periods rather than carried in a pocket.


Nocpix Dual-Link Technology

For users building a dual-monocular setup, Nocpix incorporates its Dual-Link technology.

Two MINI2 units can be paired together, with one unit operating as the master controller. From that single interface, the user can control functions on both devices, including menus, palettes, image settings, digital zoom and other core functions.

A compatible bridge and helmet-mounting system, like the UNV Ultimate Helmet Mount – Modular Dual-Optic Bridge System would still be required to physically configure two monoculars, but Dual-Link simplifies operating the two devices once paired.

Up to 7 Hours of Runtime

The MINI 2 combines an internal rechargeable battery with an included external helmet-mountable battery pack.

The current technical specifications rate maximum operating time at up to approximately 7 hours with the battery pack, although actual runtime will naturally vary with temperature, recording, wireless functions and other usage conditions.

The internal battery is rated for 30 minutes – 2 hours depending on use.

Using an external helmet-mounted power source also allows the device itself to remain compact rather than placing the entire battery system directly on the monocular.

The Nocpix MINI2 H25 can also be powered using the included NightSnipe NS10,000 External Battery Pack, making it a convenient option for both single and dual helmet-mounted setups. The NS10,000 features two USB-A output ports, allowing one battery pack to power up to two H25 units at the same time. Because the power cables included with the H25 use USB-C connections, a USB-C Female to USB-A Male adapter is required (not included) for each H25 being powered from the battery pack. A single H25 setup will require one adapter, while a dual H25 setup will require two.

Customers who prefer to operate their H25 using the factory-supplied external batter pack can also use the NS10,000 as a portable charging source to recharge their units in the field. This gives you the flexibility to run the H25 directly from one centralized external battery pack or use it as backup power to keep your factory batteries charged during extended use.

1,420-Yard Thermal Detection

Nocpix rates the MINI2 H25 for thermal detection out to approximately 1,420 yards.

A 1,420-yard detection rating means the system may detect the presence of an appropriately sized heat source at that distance. It does not mean you should expect positive animal identification at 1,420 yards.

Actual useful recognition and identification distance varies considerably with target size, humidity, ambient temperature, vegetation, background temperature, atmospheric conditions, image settings and user experience.

More importantly, the MINI2 is designed primarily around wide-area awareness, helmet use and rapid detection, rather than functioning as a high-magnification long-range observation monocular.


IP67 Aluminum Housing

The MINI2 H25 uses an aluminum housing with an IP67 ingress-protection rating.

Manufacturer-rated operating temperature is: -4°F to 122°F
