The HS225R is HYDRA-LRF’s most accessible model, perfect for newcomers looking to unlock precision thermal vision. The HS225R features a 12 μm, ≤25 mK uncooled infrared sensor (256×192) and a 1024×768 Micro-OLED display at 50 Hz, delivering smooth, detailed thermal imaging. DNT’s Image Super Resolution (ISR) boosts the sensor to 384-equivalent, enhancing clarity and preserving fine details. With 3x base magnification and up to 12x digital zoom, it captures precise details even in demanding conditions.

As a Standalone Scope
With a 1024×768 micro-OLED display and a rapid-adjust eyepiece, the Hydra delivers a rifle-like experience with its long 2.5” (65mm) eye relief and highly forgiving eye box. Enhancing your ultimate hunting experience.

As a Clip-On

Precision Ranging with Built-in Ballistic Calculator
The HS225R integrates a high-precision laser rangefinder capable of measuring distances from 5 to 1,300 yards. Coupled with its onboard ballistic calculator, it provides instant, accurate drop compensation tailored to the measured range. Ballistic profiles can be adjusted directly on the device or fine-tuned via the DNT App, providing control and adaptability across diverse scenarios.

Other thermal sights that claim to be a clip on and thermal weapon sight usually have some compromise like short eye relief making them less ideal for stand alone weapon use. Not the case with the Hydra. The Hydra series uses a large eyepiece with a very large and forgiving eye box. It has a longer eye relief than the ZULUS and ThermNight scopes, 65 mm compared to 45 mm. That is a 2.5 inch eye relief, making it more comfortable to shoot with especially if you are using higher calibers with more recoil.
